1. Overview
Wisdom Accounts is a business accounting and inventory app for retailers, wholesalers, traders and service businesses, made by Marothia Techs from Surat, India. Your business data is sensitive — financial entries, customer ledgers, invoices — and we treat it that way.
This Privacy Policy explains, in plain English:
- What information we collect, and why we collect it.
- How we use, store and protect that information.
- Who (if anyone) we share it with.
- The rights you have over your information and how to exercise them.
This policy applies to the Wisdom Accounts mobile app (Android & iOS), the Wisdom Accounts web app at accounts.marothiatechs.com, and this marketing website. By using any of these, you agree to this policy.
2. Who we are
The "data fiduciary" responsible for your information under Indian law is:
- Company
- Marothia Techs
- Founder / Contact
- Laxman Marothiya
- Registered address
- 509, Saket Textile Market, Near Aai Mata Circle, Parvat Patiya, Dumbhal, Surat, Gujarat 395010, India

3. What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
3.1 Information you give us
- Account details — name, email address, phone number, and (optionally) your business name when you sign up.
- Business data you enter — sales, purchases, invoices, items, prices, customer & supplier accounts, payment records, and any notes you add. This data belongs to you.
- Documents you upload — for example, receipts or PDFs you attach to entries.
- Support messages — anything you send us via email, phone, or in-app support.
3.2 Information we collect automatically
- Device & technical info — device model, operating system, app version, language, and a non-personal device identifier used to keep your sync working.
- Usage data — which screens you open and which features you use, so we can improve the app. This is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.
- Diagnostic data — crash logs and performance metrics when something goes wrong, so we can fix it.
- Log data — for the web app, standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request URL) for security and debugging. Logs are rotated and deleted on a regular schedule.
3.3 Information from third parties
- App stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) provide install metadata, in-app purchase status, and aggregated review data.
- Payment partners — if you ever purchase a paid plan or feature, our payment partner (e.g. Razorpay) sends us the transaction status. We do not see or store your full card details.
4. How we use your data
We use the information described above to:
- Run the service — show you your dashboard, sync your data across devices, generate reports, and let you sign in.
- Improve the app — understand which features are used and which are confusing, so we can make Wisdom better.
- Keep things working — diagnose crashes, prevent fraud, and protect against abuse.
- Talk to you — reply to your support requests and send essential service announcements (e.g. a security notice, a major change).
- Comply with the law — including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
We process this data on the legal bases of your consent, the performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, and where applicable, compliance with law.
5. Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your data. We share it only in the limited situations below, and only the minimum required:
5.1 Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to actually run the service — for example, cloud hosting (to store your data), push-notification gateways, and crash reporting. These vendors process data on our behalf, are bound by contract to keep it confidential, and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
5.2 Legal & safety
We may disclose information if we are legally required to (a valid court order, summons or government request under Indian law), or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, protect the safety of any person, or enforce our Terms & Conditions.
5.3 Business transfers
If Marothia Techs ever merges with, is acquired by, or sells assets to another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. If that happens, we will notify you in advance and you will have the chance to delete your account before the transfer takes effect.
5.4 With your direction
If you choose to share an invoice, report or PDF (for example via WhatsApp, email or a public link you generate), that document leaves our systems on your instruction. You're in control of those shares.
6. Data security
We take security seriously. The measures we apply include:
- Encryption in transit — every connection between your device and our servers uses TLS (HTTPS).
- Encryption at rest — your data is stored on encrypted disks at our cloud provider.
- Access controls — only a small number of authorised Marothia Techs engineers can access production systems, and that access is logged and audited.
- Authentication — your account is protected by your password / OTP. Please use a strong, unique password and never share it.
- Regular backups — to protect against data loss.
- Incident response — if a security incident affects you, we will notify you and the Indian CERT-In as required by law, without undue delay.
That said, no system is 100% secure. You play a role too: keep your device locked, your app updated, and your account password private.
7. Data retention
- We keep your business data for as long as your account is active, so you can use the app.
- If you delete your account, we delete your business data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited information for legal, tax or accounting reasons (in which case we keep only the minimum required for the minimum time required).
- Crash logs and aggregated usage data are retained for up to 18 months, then purged.
- Backups are rotated automatically; deleted data clears from backups within 90 days.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix anything that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and personal data.
- Withdraw consent — for any processing that's based on your consent.
- Portability — export your business data (you can already export reports as Excel/PDF from inside the app).
- Grievance redressal — raise a concern with our Grievance Officer (see Contact us).
To exercise any of these rights, write to support@marothiatechs.com. We aim to respond within 7 working days, and never later than 30 days.
9. Cookies & analytics
The mobile app does not use cookies. Our web app and marketing website use only the minimum cookies needed to:
- Sign you in — a session cookie that tells the server who you are. Deleted when you log out.
- Remember preferences — for example, your selected financial year.
- Aggregate analytics — to understand which pages people visit, in aggregate. We do not link this to your identity.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the web app may stop working.
10. Children
Wisdom Accounts is built for businesses and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Your data is primarily stored on servers located in India. If we ever process data outside India (for example, via a cloud region in another country), we will do so in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and ensure equivalent protection.
12. Third-party services
Some parts of the service rely on third parties. Their own privacy policies apply when you interact with them:
- Google Play Store — for Android distribution and in-app updates.
- Apple App Store — for iOS / iPadOS distribution.
- Cloud infrastructure provider — for hosting and storage.
- Razorpay — if you ever make a payment.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:
- We update the "Last updated" date at the top.
- For any material change, we notify you via the app and/or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
- You can always read the current version at
/privacy.phpon this site.
